Me and my friends are on the CAW!

Studio Grand Opening

I am wildly excited to announce the Grand Opening of my art studio in downtown Corvallis!

JH Arts and Crafts Studio will open for the Corvallis Arts Walk on May 16, 4:00-8:00 pm
425 SW Madison Ave. Suite O-3 (basement)

Visitors (2024) digital illustration

This studio is a huge boost for my artistry and teaching: I’m incredibly excited to open up a safe and creative space for workshops and private classes. Here, my students and I will be able to explore all the materials I’ve collected to share, plus high-quality art printing (coming soon) and sticker-making! I’m also looking forward to hosting creative community events in this space, including open studios, drink and draws, and tiny markets. If you’re interested in a class or event in the studio, send me a message!

Check out private class and workshop rates on my classes page.

May CAW: JH Art + Janique Crenshaw + Aranea Push

For the Corvallis Arts Walk in May, I’m bringing along some very dear friends, Janique Crenshaw and Aranea Push to showcase their work and share their wares!

Featuring Janique Crenshaw’s pop culture-inspired illustrations

Janique Crenshaw (she/her) is an Oregon-based artist working in digital and traditional mixed media. Her work is heavily influenced by k-pop, anime and nerd popular culture. She is passionate about mental wellness and supporting QTBIPOC artists/creators by providing low cost, art market opportunities.

Janique is amazing and I very much dig her ghibli fan art and whole artistic vibe. She’s started to organize small artist markets in the area, and I’m really excited to be part of her Spring Art Market on May 11!

Featuring Aranea Push’s Effin’ Adorable illustrations

Aranea Push is a digital illustrator and comic artist living in the PNW. Aranea blends rich illustration with sharp attitude, creating a style she lovingly refers to as ‘Effin’ Adorable’. In 2023, she published her first graphic novel “Coffee & Wine” which you can read in its entirety at araneapush.com/coffee-wine

Aranea is one of my longest-time friends in Corvallis and my accountability partner of 4 years! My artwork, business, and bravery to try new things is possible with her encouragement and keeping me accountable to my goals. I got to watch her graphic novel, Coffee and Wine, come to life and it was honestly a humbling and inspiring experience!
